Private CT Scans
CT (computed tomography) imaging at our CQC-registered clinic, with reporting by a GMC-registered consultant radiologist.
All CT scans require prior clinical justification. Before any scan is booked, you'll have a GP Pre-Test Review (£25, 10-min phone call) so a doctor can confirm the scan is clinically appropriate for you. This is a legal requirement under IR(ME)R 2017.

Anatomical regions include: head, neck, chest, abdomen, pelvis, or spine. The regions appropriate for you will be agreed with your referring GP at the Pre-Test Review.
Included in every scan: radiographer-led scan, consultant radiologist report, digital copy of images, results shared with you and (with your consent) your GP.
Not included: intravenous contrast media, if clinically indicated, is charged separately at £[X]. Your clinician will discuss this with you.
Important information before booking
Radiation: CT scans use ionising radiation. Your clinician will discuss the benefits and risks with you at the Pre-Test Review.
Pregnancy: Please tell us if you are, or might be, pregnant. CT is generally avoided in pregnancy unless essential.
Not a screening service: CT is not offered here as a general health screen. Each scan must be clinically justified for your individual circumstances.
Results: Reports are typically available within [X] working days. Urgent findings are communicated promptly.
